Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) accused the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division of politically-based prosecutions while questioning U.S. Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke during a Tuesday House hearing about “Oversight of the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division” in Washington.
Mr. Jordan offered what he said were examples of the DOJ’s prosecutorial imbalance during his questioning, including the Department’s prosecution of SpaceX as well as of an elderly pro-life activist.
Ms. Clarke said her department applies U.S. law “without fear or favor.”
