The Biden administration has appointed a special counsel for a probe into former President Donald Trump. Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who appointed special counsel Robert Muller, calls it a “discretionary decision,” not an obvious necessity. Concerns are surfacing that the appointment is an attempt to eat up Trump’s time he would otherwise use for campaigning. NTD spoke to Marc Ruskin, a retired FBI special agent with over 20 years of experience working in undercover operations. Ruskin said that the special counsel appointment seems to be a tactic to divert attention from GOP investigations, as it closely follows the Republicans taking the House of Representatives and pledging to launch several investigations.
