Polls are showing a sizable shift among black voters away from the Democratic Party in the presidential race in Michigan. The average of New York Times and InsiderAdvantage polling shows a 28-point reduction in the advantage Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has over President Joe Biden’s support in 2020. That equates to a potential 158,000 or so votes that may go to former President Donald Trump in the state. That’s significant because the state was decided by about 154,000 votes in 2020.
