Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the stage in Nishinomiya, Japan, on Jan. 7 and Jan. 8. Audience members were deeply touched by the performance and commended the performers for their artistry.
“I was really impressed by the wonderful performance. The background scenery of China was also presented in an ingenious way, and the music and dance were harmonized very well,” said Kobayashi, a former company president. “And the music is a good mix of Western and Chinese instruments, and I think it complements the Chinese scenery well.”
“It is more gorgeous than I expected, and I think the amount of practice must have been quite difficult, as it is both delicate and bold in some parts. It is very beautiful,” said Masakazu Kubo, a certified senior wine specialist.
“I could tell that the training must have been really hard. I could also see how well everyone was prepared, and I could understand the high level of their skills,” said Fako Kubo, a certified senior wine specialist.
“I could sense from everywhere that they have been training or practicing every day,” said Yukishige Yamazaki, the head of a company. “So I felt a little energized watching them, which was great.”
“[Traditional culture] is important, and I believe that it must be passed on and handed down. Therefore, I think it is a good thing that the tradition of dance is being passed on through this kind of dance,” said Yoichi Iwasaki, a former company executive.
“I believe that the roots of Japan’s long tradition of art began in China, and this is an art that has existed for a long, long time,” said Masaru Tanaka, a company president. “I hope that this art will not be persecuted and will continue to exist.”
“Today’s dance was wonderful. So was the live music, and I enjoyed it,” said Kazuhiko Kunimoto, a former police department director. “It was easy to understand the story because it is a familiar story in Japan.”
Shen Yun will be performing in Saitama, Japan, from Jan. 14 through Jan. 16.
