Shen Yun Performing Arts successfully closed the curtain on four performances in Nagoya, Japan, from Dec. 25–27. Audience members welcomed them with applause in a packed theater.
“The images on the sky screen were gorgeous and the dance was full of energy. I was so moved. The live symphony itself was impressive, and Shen Yun’s music combined the true Eastern and Western styles, and was presented to the audience with dance,” said Mitsuhiro Sugimoto, the president of an environmental engineering company.
“Although I have seen many other performances such as ballet, this was my first time watching Shen Yun, and I was amazed and deeply moved at the same time.”
“I have never seen this kind of interaction between the actors and the backdrop before, It excited me,” said Toshiyuki Kameyama, the president of a company and a millionaire YouTuber. “The artists had such a high standard. I felt completely absorbed.”
“The performance was of an exceptional standard, the dancers were in perfect harmony and their movements were graceful and elegant,” said Yasuo Suzuki, an IT company chairman.
“The precise and coordinated dance was wonderful. The backdrop was perfectly synchronized with the live performance. It was really great and very touching,” said Hitoshi Koide, a construction and real estate development company executive.
Shen Yun draws its inspiration from 5,000 years of Chinese civilization and traditional virtues, and showcases them through classical Chinese dance and music. Theatergoers took note of a deeper message and praised Shen Yun’s efforts to share it with the world.
“The performance conveyed the importance of freedom, love, and the connection between people. I was very moved by this,” said Koichi Namiki, a former CEO.
“Don’t succumb to power, and keep calling for action. Even if the voice and power are small, when they are gathered together, they will form a huge force and a powerful voice. So continuation is very important.”
Many theatergoers were deeply moved by Shen Yun’s artistry. Some say the performance brought them energy.
“I’m not in very good physical condition today, but I think it’s worth coming here. I once wanted to give up watching the show, but after coming here, I found that I gained energy from the show. This is my first time watching a show. I will definitely invite my friends to come with me next time,” said Shigehiro Kobayashi, a business owner.
“I am so happy today. Thank you. I feel like I was watching a Chinese historical drama similar to a Japanese ‘period drama,’” said Naohiro Yoshida, the president of a real estate company.
Shen Yun will be performing in Kyoto, Japan, from Dec. 30 through Jan 5.
