Audiences in Cagliari, Italy Greatly Touched by Shen Yun

January 7, 2025

Shen Yun Performing Arts celebrated the new year in Cagliari, Italy, taking the stage for two performances on Jan. 2 and Jan. 3. Audiences praised the performances and said they were deeply touched by the essence of traditional Chinese culture.

“I liked it very much; it was greatly emotional. I have been to China, but I had never discovered this aspect of Chinese culture,” said Alessandro Scutellari, a lawyer.

“A wonder, beautiful, something difficult to explain but truly beautiful,” said Mohamed Nemati Fard, a doctor.

“Peace, serenity, and tranquility. Then there are these colors that are very beautiful,” said Arianna Serrelli, a business owner.

“The music of China, the tradition, the dance, the divinities that dance. This is the impression you get when you watch the show,” said Marta Puzulu, a school director. “They turn in the air, and they seem to fly almost at certain moments of the show. It’s really extraordinary and very, very beautiful.”

Shen Yun presents traditional values using dance and music through a series of stories from ancient legends to those set in modern-day China.

“Taking into account the regime that we currently have in China and the restrictions that unfortunately do not allow this type of activity,” said Davide Livieri, an entrepreneur.

“Fortunately, in the western part of the world, these things are allowed, and they make us aware of these realities often hidden from our media,” he said. “Come and see it, it’s worth it. It’s a rediscovery, a formative experience, and a beautiful show,” he added.

“[It’s] a remarkable combination of spirituality, especially in the movements of the gestures. The performers are as powerful as they are expressive. I really appreciated this aspect,” said Stefano Giambroni, a banker.

“Emotion, colors, it’s fantastic. There are no words to describe what you feel when you watch this show. I invite everyone to come and see with their own eyes because what we can say doesn’t reflect what the show really is,” said Rossella Ghio, a dentist.

Shen Yun will perform in Torino, Italy, from Jan. 7 to Jan. 12.
