Severe Flooding Hits Central China Amid Censorship

On Wednesday, China issued its very first red alert for a typhoon this year.

Chinese authorities sent out the highest-level alert to the nation, urging residents to get ready for Typhoon Gaemi’s arrival. In the coming days, forecasters say the typhoon will hit southeastern and central China, as well as Beijing.

Heavy rainfall began drenching central China early last week. Several residents told NTD that the situation is now getting censored inside China.
