President-elect Donald Trump has selected retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg for the new role of special envoy for Ukraine and Russia. In Trump’s first administration, Kellogg was chief of staff for the White House National Security Council.
NTD discusses the pick with Kervin Aucoin, a former lead intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance coordinator for the U.S. Army in Europe and the host of the “This Week Explained” podcast. Aucoin says Kellogg is “the best candidate” for the role, as he is supportive of Ukraine and has pushed back on Russian demands.
