Arizona’s 11 electoral votes could prove to be pivotal in the close matchup between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. The two campaigns are courting what could be a decisive group of voters in the Grand Canyon State—Native Americans, who make up 6 percent of the state’s population. That is a significant amount considering the state was decided by about 10,000 votes in 2020. Harris visited the Gila River Indian Community in Maricopa County, while Trump hasn’t visited Native American country in the state per se, but his campaign says they have many staff reaching out to these voters.
