Jan. 9, 2025, will be a national day of mourning for former U.S. President Jimmy Carter. The White House issued this proclamation following Carter’s death on Sunday. President Joe Biden called on the American people to gather in places of worship on Jan. 9 to honor Carter.
A federal appeals court has upheld a $5 million verdict that E. Jean Carroll won against President-elect Donald Trump.
