Arizona could be the next state to indict former President Donald Trump, according to some of his allies, as the state’s attorney general investigates similar charges as Georgia’s Fulton County DA Fani Willis. Meanwhile, in the Georgia case,  President Trump’s co-defendants begin to surrender themselves before the Friday deadline. President Trump plans to turn himself in at the Fulton County jail Thursday.

Two Republican presidential candidates are suing the Republican National Convention over the debate qualifications. Eight candidates are qualified for the first presidential primary debate Wednesday night. They are expected to discuss culture war issues, illegal immigration, President Joe Biden, and President Trump—who will sit out the debate with a sizable lead in the polls.

Tropical Storm Harold makes landfall on the Texas Gulf coast, bringing heavy rain, flash flood warnings, and power outages. Harold is moving inland as it weakens into a tropical depression.
