President-elect Donald Trump has tapped Kash Patel, the former chief of staff to the secretary of defense, to lead the FBI.
NTD speaks to Mike Leon, the policy and strategy director at the Free and Equal Elections Foundation and the host of the “Can We Please Talk?” podcast, who says that if Patel is confirmed, it could lead to a massive loss of personnel at the bureau. On Capitol Hill, meanwhile, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has said Patel is a “real reformer” who can clean out “the corrupted partisans” in senior positions there.
