Stack Social is offering a limited-time deal that includes a one-year Costco Gold Star Membership plus a $45 digital shop card, which means the membership price has effectively been reduced to just $20.
“Costco is your one-stop shop for everything you want, and offers a wide range of merchandise that will likely cover all of your shopping needs,” the offer reads. “With hundreds of locations across the country, Costco is the ideal place to shop without the hassle of having to run numerous errands around town.”
The Gold Star Membership is valid for one year at any Costco location worldwide and on their website, according to Stack Social. The membership also includes a free Household Card, making it possible for primary members to allow other persons within their household and over the age of 16 to shop at the store.
The fine print details that the deal’s promotion code for the Gold Star Membership offer must be purchased by Dec. 22, 2024, and that the offer must be redeemed by Jan. 31, 2025 to qualify.
Stack Social specifies that the deal is only available to customers in the United States and Puerto Rico, and that it is only valid for new members or for individuals whose membership has expired for more than 18 months.
People who qualify for the deal are limited to buying up to two memberships—one for personal use and one to use as a gift—and that qualified members will receive their $45 Digital Costco Shop Card by email within two weeks of redeeming their purchase.
However, the Gold Star Membership does not include the company’s annual 2 percent reward, which is up to $1,250 on qualified Costco purchases, according to Costco’s website.
Costco recently increased its Gold Star Membership price in the United States and Canada from $60 to $65, affecting over 50 million memberships.
