Over $100 billion was lost to fraud within the program providing COVID-19 unemployment insurance aid, according to a report by the House Oversight Committee. The report says organized criminals were involved—and that states didn’t do much to stop them.

NTD spoke to Pete Sepp, the president of the National Taxpayers Union, who said that system flaws and poor record-keeping are part of the problem.
