A Florida woman captured on video an encounter at a Hampton Inn in Georgia that she says illustrates ill-treatment.

The woman, Mary Williams, wants an apology.

“For the first time in my life, I felt like someone was judging me just based on how I looked,” Williams told Fox 13.

Williams said that she and her sister Ebonee Dobson were at the front desk of a Hampton Inn in Lake Park when the situation took place.

Williams complained about a room reservation, to which a woman Rose at the front desk said, “You people are ignorant.”

Rose continued, saying that she and Hampton Inn had “extended a courtesy” by booking Williams and Dobson a room. “We did not have to,” she added.

Williams said that she made a reservation on the Hilton Hotel application for the inn but Hampton Inn’s computer showed the reservation was canceled. Williams said she didn’t cancel it.

Hampton Inn booked Williams a room but it cost more than the one she had originally booked, and it had fewer amenities.

Williams also said the room was a mess and took pictures of a cracked toilet and a broken roll-away bed.

Rose gets upset at Williams and tells her to step away from the counter.

“There’s nowhere else to put you. You are lucky you got in a room for what we did do, for what my girl had last night. She got contacted me and I did check internally last night, but ignorance is bliss and you guys are just blazing this morning,” Rose added.

Williams and her sister were at the desk after staying one night because they wanted to switch rooms due to the deficiencies.

Dobson actually works for Hilton’s customer complaint department and had told Williams she could handle the situation. Instead, Rose got more upset and never resolved the complaints.

Fox 13 said that Rose has been fired, citing the new franchisee. Williams, meanwhile, wants an apology. Hilton has not released a statement regarding the incident.

“I’m almost 40 years old. I can think back to all of the experiences in my life. I cannot remember a time in my life that someone made me feel less because of my race,” Williams said.
