US to Boost Pacific Efforts Against Drug Trafficking

The United States will work with Pacific island nations to tackle drug trafficking, according to Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell, who says drug networks from China use the region to move narcotics into the United States. While the United States grapples with overdose deaths from fentanyl, Pacific island nations like Fiji and Tonga are seeing more meth drug busts this year.
