I was walking in Cambridge, MA, near Cambridge Common (Garden St). Wild turkeys were crossing the street during morning rush hour traffic and they got confused. Cars were honking at them trying to get them to move out of the way. A UPS driver decided to try and lead them through the intersection to the other side. He started whistling and calling to them. They responded to his whistling and gentle calls to follow the UPS truck through the intersection to the other side (the Common). I hope UPS or the driver’s family sees this video and thanks him! Pedestrians all stopped to watch and chuckle. Wild turkeys roam the streets of Metropolitan Boston, and so far I have not seen any injured, they are tough. These turkeys did not seem too worried but they were definitely unsure about where to go when they got trapped amongst several cars. The turkeys made it to other side of the street and continued on their day.
