Undersea Readiness Could Be Difference Between Winning and Losing Potential War With China: Naval Warfare Specialist

As Russia continues its war in Ukraine and China sends its military ships or planes near Taiwan almost daily, cooperation between the two countries seems to be growing.

The head of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, Admiral Samuel Paparo, recently said China had helped to rebuild Russia’s war machine, furnishing the warring nation with 90 percent of its semiconductors and 70 percent of the machine tools in its war machine.

Now, the admiral warns that Russia could repay the favor and offer submarine technology to communist China that could cut away at U.S. dominance undersea.

Retired Captain Brent Sadler, a former Pentagon official and currently a research fellow for naval warfare at The Heritage Foundation, spoke with NTD.
