North Carolina’s Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson is the Republican Party’s candidate for state governor. However, CNN has alleged that he made questionable comments on an adult website’s message forum over a decade ago—a claim Robinson denies. Trump has endorsed Robinson, but reportedly did not mention him at his rally in the state last Saturday. Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign, meanwhile, is attempting to link Trump to Robinson.

According to Jeff Crouere, a political analyst and the host of “Ringside Politics,” the best strategy for Trump—in his quest to minimize distractions to his campaign and win the state of North Carolina—would be to distance himself from Robinson.
