With the Iowa caucuses producing a resounding endorsement of former President Donald Trump, how can he maintain enthusiasm for his campaign coming out of the Hawkeye State? Can former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley overtake Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in New Hampshire—or even challenge President Trump there?
NTD spoke to retired Lt. Col. Allen West, the executive director of the American Constitutional Rights Union, to find out his interpretation of President Trump’s success in Iowa and his chances to continue that form in New Hampshire.
“If you start to see the 11 percent that Chris Christie had shift over to Nikki Haley, this could be a very interesting race in New Hampshire,” Mr. West said. “And I think that’s what Nikki Haley is looking forward to. But again, if she cannot win her own state in the subsequent South Carolina primary, that puts a couple of torpedoes and broadsides in her battleship as well.”
