Being overweight is a prevalent problem in the United States with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reporting that by 2020, 100 million American adults were obese. More and more people are now turning to weight-loss drugs like Ozempic.
NTD spoke to Daniella Dayoub Forrest, a functional health and wellness coach and the author of “Own Your Wellness,” these drugs can offer some people a boost in losing weight—but it’s important to ask how the problem started in the first place. She also says when trying to lose weight, eating a safe but sizeable amount of protein at the beginning of a meal can help prevent the consumption of excess carbs that can pack on the pounds.
