Target of Russia–North Korea Military Treaty Is China: Expert

Russia and North Korea just signed a new security agreement pledging to help each other if either is attacked. Many call this the strongest partnership between the two since the Cold War.

As a response to the treaty, South Korea is now considering sending weapons to Ukraine and Japan is approving more sanctions on entities that support Russia’s war on Ukraine.

How does China factor into the move? And what should the United States do about it?

Gregory Copley, president of the International Strategic Studies Association, said: “It would be a mistake for South Korea to get engaged in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. That conflict is really coming to an end because it has nowhere to go.”
