Taiwan’s economic minister said on Monday that former President Donald Trump might misunderstand Taiwan’s role in the chip industry. And Taiwan on Tuesday said it’s investigating eight Chinese companies, saying they illegally recruited high-tech professionals from Taiwan’s semiconductor industry.
