The Italian city of culture and fashion will host Shen Yun Performing Arts on Jan. 14 through 20. Shen Yun will introduce its 2025 production once again at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi, in Milan, Italy.
Shen Yun’s mission to revive 5,000 years of Chinese civilization—a China before communism—resonates with Milan’s love of art and culture. Last year’s audience in Milan spoke enthusiastically of how Shen Yun expressed traditional values.
Elisa Siragusano is a singer in musicals, and she found Shen Yun Performing Arts to be full of surprises.
“Wonderful! It was wonderful from the beginning to the end. [There were] moments of surprise where we said, wow! Exceptional talent, precision, really wonderful,” said Ms. Siragusano.
Paolo Berlusconi, an entrepreneur, came to Shen Yun expecting a beautiful performance, and he was not disappointed. But he was also particularly struck by Shen Yun’s use of its art to convey a more profound message.
“So I was prepared for a show of music, of color, of dance, and the expectations were fulfilled. … You have to be absolutely understanding that the show is brought around the world with a very specific purpose. It is not just a show of entertainment, skills, dancing, but also a much deeper message that it wants to give to the world, which is a message of freedom,” said Mr. Berlusconi.
Shen Yun is based in New York, and using beautiful dance and music, it is able to share breathtaking stories from past and present-day China.
“The production transpires like a fairy tale, and the choreography is beautiful but more than that, it was a bridge to the divine,” said Giorgio Casciarri.
Madeleine Sophie said, “It was a marvelous surprise for the scenes—but above all—for the messages. I believe it is one of the most beautiful and deepest shows I have come across in my life.
“I hope [Shen Yun] can go around for a long time and be heard by as many people as possible because [they] are a living message—not a static word nor a drawing, but tri-dimensional,” she added.
This year, as Shen Yun is set to perform in over 200 cities around the world and across five continents, the 2025 touring season is shaping up to be the artists’ busiest yet and a glorious treat for theatergoers.
For Milan and nearby cities, including Bergamo, Torino, and Lausanne, Switzerland, theatergoers should book tickets by visiting ShenYun.com/tickets.
