It details how the Maduro regime, which is still fighting to stay in power, is allegedly laundering Venezuelan gold by flying it across the world and getting euros in exchange—with the help of actors in Russia and the United Arab Emirates.
Venezuela is broke after its economy collapsed under Maduro’s socialist policies, and rampant money printing destroyed its currency. Fergus Hodgson, the founder and director Econ Americas, has been following the story. NTD asked him what this report tells us about the Maduro regime.
