In this episode of NTD’s “Profiles of Service,” Rep. Paul Tonko (D-N.Y.) shares his journey from engineer, to becoming active in local politics, to being elected to Congress, where he has served since 2009. Representing Albany, Schenectady, and surrounding areas, Tonko advocates for solutions to energy and environmental challenges.

Tonko credits what he calls the “aspirational politics” of JFK, RFK, and MLK for inspiring his path and encourages the next generation to pursue public service to make a lasting, impactful change.
