Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) told NTD he noticed that attendants at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) were tired of what he called authoritarian rule.
Cawthorn has taken issue with America’s social media companies, like Facebook and Twitter. He has proposed bills that he says would break up these companies, referring to them as monopolies.
“They’ve created what is now the new town square of America,” said Cawthorn. “But if you want to limit my speech, and limit what I can say there, you are starting to limit my First Amendment rights in the town square of America. So shame on you, you should be removed.”
