Persecution of Falun Gong, Forced Organ Harvesting Highlighted in US Report

The ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China and the associated forced organ harvesting was highlighted in the Department of State’s annual International Religious Freedom Report, released June 26. During the announcement of the report’s release, U.S. Ambassador at Large for Religious Freedom Rashad Hussain mentioned the plight of a practitioner in attendance, Yuhua Zhang, who was imprisoned and tortured to give up her belief in China. Her husband is still imprisoned in China for practicing Falun Dafa.
