At least nine deaths related to Hurricane Milton have been confirmed in Florida as of Thursday. The storm made landfall on Wednesday night along Florida’s Gulf Coast, dropping more than 18 inches of rain on St. Petersburg, representing a once-in-a-millennium rainfall event for the area. The hurricane also cut out power for more than 3.4 million customers statewide. President Joe Biden said help is on the way.
Former President Donald Trump is set to address the Detroit Economic Club, while Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to speak in Phoenix, Arizona, as part of their presidential campaigns. Former President Barack Obama will campaign for Harris with an event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
