Elon Musk has been ordered to attend a hearing on Thursday in a lawsuit aiming to block his $1 million-a-day giveaways targeting registered swing state voters. Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner filed the suit, seeking to stop the giveaways less than a week before the U.S. presidential election. Krasner argues Musk and his political action committee are running an “illegal lottery scheme to influence voters.”
The U.S. Supreme Court voted 6–3 on Thursday to permit Virginia officials to remove suspected noncitizens from voter rolls. In recent weeks, state officials reportedly removed around 1,600 individuals believed to be noncitizens from the state’s voter registration lists. Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin praised the ruling as “a victory for common sense and election fairness.” However, Danielle Lang of the Campaign Legal Center, representing the Virginia Coalition for Immigrant Rights, condemned the decision, calling it “outrageous.”
Former President Donald Trump campaigned in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, before heading to Green Bay, Wisconsin, for another rally on Wednesday. He dressed as a garbage collector to highlight the controversial comments made recently by President Joe Biden. Vice President Kamala Harris also rallied in Wisconsin in Madison, where she was joined by folk rock group Mumford and Sons and singer Gracie Abrams. This followed events in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on the same day.
