Elon Musk has been ordered to attend a hearing Thursday in a lawsuit aiming to block his $1 million-a-day giveaway targeting registered swing state voters. Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner filed the suit, seeking to stop the giveaway less than a week before the U.S. presidential election. Krasner argues Musk and his political action committee are running an “illegal lottery scheme to influence voters.”
The U.S. Supreme Court voted 6–3 Thursday to permit Virginia officials to remove suspected noncitizens from voter rolls. In recent weeks, state officials reportedly removed around 1,600 individuals believed to be noncitizens from Virginia’s voter registration lists. Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin praised the ruling as “a victory for common sense and election fairness.” However, Danielle Lang of the Campaign Legal Center, representing the Virginia Coalition for Immigrant Rights, condemned the decision, calling it “outrageous.”
Former President Trump campaigned in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, before heading to Green Bay, Wisconsin, for another rally Wednesday. He dressed as a garbage collector after the controversial comments made by President Biden. Vice President Harris also rallied in Wisconsin in Madison, where she was joined by folk rock group Mumford and Sons and singer Gracie Abrams. This followed events in Raleigh, North Carolina and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on the same day.
