A Georgia judge ruled Wednesday that the State Election Board had no authority to implement seven new rules impacting certification, absentee ballots, and vote counting. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Thomas Cox voided the challenged rules, finding that they violated state law, the Georgia Constitution, and the U.S. Constitution. The rules were described as election security measures by Republicans but Democrats said the rules were aimed at impeding the certification of election results.

Vice President Kamala Harris sat down for an interview with Fox News on Wednesday. Fox anchor Bret Baier pressed Harris on immigration, shifting policy positions and how she differs from President Biden. The discussion repeatedly grew heated, with the two talking over each other.

A federal judge has blocked an effort by Alabama to remove non-citizens from its voter rolls. The judge said Wednesday that changing the voting system less than 90 days before an election is illegal. The Justice Department sued Alabama in September. It alleged the state violated the 90-day Quiet Period in the National Voter Registration Act.
