President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race on Sunday. He says he will finish out the remainder of his term, but that his reelection bid is over. He endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic Party nomination.

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle will testify before the House Oversight Committee on Monday. Ms. Cheatle will be asked how her agency failed to stop the attempt on former President Trump’s life on July 13. It will be her first time before Congress since the assassination attempt.
