The 75th NATO summit has concluded as pressure in Europe builds. NATO has announced plans to increase military capabilities to the east, as well as further afield. Secretary of State Antony Blinken also met with G7 foreign ministers on the sidelines of the summit. Meanwhile, Russia is accusing the alliance of escalating tensions and aiming toward confrontation.
President Joe Biden told reporters at the NATO summit that he’s the best candidate to win the presidential election. He said his administration has more to do, and has to finish the job. The president held a highly anticipated press conference on July 11 at the end of the three-day NATO summit. He said calls for him to step down as the Democrat nominee are premature.
NATO Chief Jens Stoltenberg has said the Chinese regime is a decisive enabler of Russia’s war in Ukraine. His statement was made after NATO leaders issued a joint declaration saying China is involved in the war.
