The Trump campaign is denying reports of an altercation between campaign staffers and an official at Arlington National Cemetery. Citing unnamed sources, multiple news outlets reported that staffers pushed a cemetery official on Aug. 26. Former President Donald Trump was attending a ceremony with relatives of the 13 U.S. troops killed in the 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal. A spokesman for the Trump campaign told The Epoch Times in an email that there was no physical altercation as described. He said the campaign is prepared to release video footage if defamatory claims are made.

The FBI has released photos of items recovered from the scene of the July 13 assassination attempt on Trump, including images of the gunman’s rifle and backpack. The agency says the gunman’s motive is still unclear, but that examination of his online search history revealed a “sustained, detailed effort to plan an attack on some event.”

The Israel Defense Forces are conducting a sweeping counter-terrorism operation in the West Bank. Israeli officials say five terrorists have been killed so far. Meanwhile, Iran’s mission to the United Nations says Houthi terrorists will let rescue ships and tugboats reach a damaged oil tanker in the Red Sea. That’s after the Iran-backed terrorists attacked the Greek-flagged vessel last week. A European Union mission to the Red Sea said on Aug. 28 that there was no oil spill in the area around the ship.
