For the second time since his first term, President-elect Donald Trump suggests that the United States should own Greenland. He says it’s for national security. This comes as Trump named PayPal co-founder Ken Howery as the United States ambassador to Denmark. However, the island’s prime minister says it’s not for sale.

Despite noting some reservations, President Joe Biden signed the National Defense Authorization Act, which approves $895 billion in military and defense spending for 2025.

American Airlines temporarily grounded flights nationwide due to a technical issue, coinciding with the start of the busy Christmas travel season. The Federal Aviation Administration issued a national ground stop at American Airlines’ request on Tuesday and lifted it about an hour later.
