Restoration work on Notre Dame Cathedral has uncovered hidden medieval treasures, including a decorated wall buried beneath the structure and vibrant traces of color on statues. These findings reveal that many parts of the cathedral were originally painted in rich hues, using rare pigments like lapis lazuli and gold.
