New York State Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan recently postponed former President Donald Trump’s sentencing in his New York criminal case. The date was moved from Sept. 18 to Nov. 26—namely after the general election, as Trump’s attorneys had requested. How does the New York case affect Trump’s presidential campaign, and could a sentencing date before the election have affected voters’ decisions on who to vote for?
