New Jersey Drone Situation ‘Totally Avoidable’ as Laws in Force to Handle It: Former Pentagon Official

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says federal officials have limited authority to shoot down the drones seen flying over New Jersey and other areas in recent days.

However, Brent Sadler, a former Pentagon official and a research fellow for naval warfare at The Heritage Foundation, tells NTD this situation is “totally avoidable” as laws passed in 2018 gave state and federal officials the authority they need to address this issue.
