NASA Launches NOAA Weather Satellite

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s weather satellite GOES-U launches from Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 5 p.m. ET on June 25. The satellite, the last in the GOES-R (Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite-R) series, will help continuously track weather systems in the Western Hemisphere.
