A police chief in Madison, Wisconsin, says investigators are speaking to the father of the alleged shooter after the attack at Abundant Life Christian School on Monday. Police say the man is at one of their facilities and is cooperating with authorities.
NTD spoke to Peter Forcelli, a retired ATF deputy assistant director and NYPD homicide detective. He said that school shootings are difficult scenes for police to address, with communities filled with emotion. He said that in such cases, officers normally want to ensure they get every aspect of the investigation right, and therefore tend to err on the side of caution.
