The FBI discovered explosive materials at the Houston home of New Orleans attack suspect Shamsud-Din Jabbar. Authorities say Jabbar was influenced by the ISIS terror group, and acted alone. Jabbar allegedly planted two bombs in ice coolers before driving a truck into New Year’s Night revelers, killing 14 and injuring 30.
In the Las Vegas incident, a rented Tesla Cybertruck packed with fireworks, mortars, and fuel canisters detonated outside the Trump hotel several hours after the New Orleans attack. Police identified the deceased suspect as Matthew Livelsberger, an Army Special Forces Green Beret.
President Joe Biden vowed there would be no safe harbor for terrorism.
NTD spoke with Peter Forcelli, a retired ATF Deputy Assistant Director and NYPD Homicide Detective, to hear more about the ongoing investigations into the attacks.
