The former owner and CEO of Continental Airlines tells all in his new memoir, “Flying for Peanuts.” At a time when the federal government oversaw airline prices the way the Federal Aviation Administration oversees airline safety today, Frank Lorenzo got low airfares approved for his company by Washington. These “peanut fares” caught on industrywide.

NTD sat down with Lorenzo for more about a move that made air travel more affordable for millions of Americans.
