Vice President Kamala Harris has selected Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate. NTD held a panel discussion on the development with Bart Marcois, a former George W. Bush and Mitt Romney campaign adviser, and Javier Palomarez, a former Obama campaign adviser and the founder and CEO of the U.S. Hispanic Business Council.
Marcois says Walz was bipartisan as a U.S. representative, though he veered away from that position with more progressive ideas as governor. Meanwhile, Palomarez says Walz was likely picked to energize the Democratic base.
