Aswad Thomas, vice president of the Alliance for Safety and Justice and the national director of Crime Survivors for Safety and Justice, spoke with NTD News about U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy’s advisory on firearm violence, which declared gun violence a public health crisis in the United States.
