“Give me just one generation of youth, and I’ll transform the whole world,” Russian dictator Vladimir Lenin said.
Disturbing challenges are competing for favor in the hearts and minds of our youth, who are—at an alarming rate intimately—connected like never before by technology that allows them to interact globally in seconds.
In the United States alone, 30 percent of Gen Z has a favorable view of Marxism, up 6 percent from 2019. Drug use among 8th graders went up 61 percent between 2016 and 2020, and teens now spend more than 8 hours staring at screens every day—and that’s just for recreation.

If the future is forged by youth, who or what forces will influence their direction? And why are role models important?
Special guests Gen. Angela Salinas, CEO of the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas; Col. William Davis, executive officer of the Young Marines; and Jane Hampton Cook, presidential historian and author, join us to answer this question.
