The Justice Department said Friday that federal charges had been filed against three people linked to a foiled Iranian plot to kill President-elect Donald Trump. Court documents showed that an Iranian official instructed Farhad Shakeri in September to put together a plan to monitor and ultimately kill Trump. The other two individuals who were arrested were reportedly Americans.
NTD spoke with Bart Marcois, former principal deputy assistant secretary of energy for policy and international affairs, who said the plot was a matter of “personal revenge” for the Iranian regime.
