On Election Day, Ohio voters will be weighing in on Issue 1—a law that seeks to eliminate the state’s Redistricting Commission and replace it with a group of citizens appointed by retired judges. According to senior director at the Campaign Legal Center Mark Gaber, there’s a patchwork of laws across states, adding that “there’s no federal prohibition on partisan gerrymandering.”
