A heartwarming story about travelling back in time—and meeting a much younger version of your own mother.
The story that unfolds is one of a young woman’s journey of maturing while learning new things about her mother—a woman she never truly understood, despite being closer to her than to anyone else in the world.
Seo Da-eun—who is 20 going on 14—films video reels as her mother, Ham Ji-su, gets on with the housework. Da-eun never backs down, no matter what her mom says: She’s a typical member of what Koreans call the “MZ generation” (Millenials + Gen Z), and her opinions on everything differ from those of her mother.
Ham Ji-su is a mother who never feels at ease due to her daughter’s immature behavior. Envious of a childhood friend boasting about her relationship with her own daughter, Ji-su suggests to Da-eun that she accompany her on a trip back to her hometown.
Da-eun agrees to accompany her mother, and the two set off on their trip—but are Da-eun’s intentions pure? As mother and daughter clash about everything, will they be able to get to their destination in one piece?
