Diplomacy With CCP Won’t Resolve Issues, but Face-to-Face Meetings ‘Healthy,’ Analyst Says

White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan is in Beijing in hopes of managing the U.S.–China relationship. According to Adam Savit, director of the China Policy Initiative at the America First Policy Institute, the visit will not solve fundamental issues stemming from the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) aggression and economic coercion, but it does serve as a “healthy” way to cool tensions.
