Defense’s Argument in Trump’s ‘Hush-Money’ Trial Correct; Prosecution’s Interpretation of the Law ‘Very Novel’: Legal Expert

Former President Donald Trump’s “hush-money” trial in New York was adjourned Monday afternoon after opening statements from both sides, as well as a witness testimony. Gerard Filitti, senior counsel at The Lawfare Project, says the defense’s argument is correct, while the prosecution’s interpretation of the law is “very novel” and not attempted before.
